Francesco Mancori<\/a><\/strong><\/strong>, also known as Ran Ancor, is a <\/span><\/span>Berlin based italian media artist, mainly dedicated to light research and video experimentation. He studied philosophy of science (University of Rome) with a minor in computers, then started to work in between art and science. He has acquired a great experience in the field of video and multimedia and has worked for artists such as Bill Viola and Brian Eno. He has dedicated himself to electronic audiovisual live-set, vjing, light installations and wearable performances, algorithmic drawings and interactive computing<\/a><\/strong><\/strong>. Most significant elements in his works are immateriality, movement and metamorphosis, visual fluxus, fusion with sound and space. In 2001 he founded eXtraLight Advanced Visuals, focusing on the light as substance through its expression in the form of light performances, visuals and installations. In his work, he uses custom-designed software and hardware, and is passionate about exploring and travelling in the incredible world of electromagnetic fields, from which he brings back images of geometries that are impossible to observe elsewhere.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
